Floyd Mayweather vs. Logan Paul weighs in: Paul weighs more than 34.5 pounds in Mayweather before the show

In addition to the long list of unaware of boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul on Sunday’s exhibition show, there were two clear facts: Boxer Mayweather is much better and Paul the man is much older. The latter was confirmed on Saturday afternoon that Paul weighed 189.5 pounds in Mayweather’s 155. The two will fight in the main event of the Showtime paid ticket at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Rocks.

Paul, who struggles with the six-inch-tall advantage, is by far Mayweather’s biggest career, amateur, professional or exhibition opponent. The heaviest opponent he has ever had against Mayweather in his professional career has been 154, the weight his legendary pair Miguel Cotto and Oscar De La Hoya had before the loss of “Money” to Mayweather.

The two men looked great on the scales, but they had different opinions on how things would turn out on Sunday night.

“He’s not ready,” Paul said after gaining weight. “He doesn’t know what to expect. This isn’t the biggest fight of my life, it’s the biggest fight of his life … it’s done, it’s a fight and anything can happen. Floyd isn’t ready, that’s all I can say.”

According to Mayweather, Paul’s size advantage is not a factor compared to the boxer’s knowledge.

“I’ve been here before, I know what it takes,” Mayweather said. “I fought all the different styles you can fight. Height doesn’t win fights, weight doesn’t win fights, fights win and I can fight.”

Another exhibition fight is planned with the card, with the first one NFL wide-star receiver Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson is taking on MMA and bare elbow boxing veteran Brian Maxwell. The two men also took part in the weigh-in ceremony, with Johnson weighing 179.5 pounds at Maxwell’s 183.5.
