About Matt Bronfman

Matt Bronfman is the CEO and CEO of Jamestown. Mr. Bronfman joined the company in 1998 as a General Counsel and in 2002 was appointed Managing Director and Chief Operating Officer. He became CEO in 2012 and is responsible for managing Jamestown’s global operations and overseeing corporate strategy and execution. Under Matt’s leadership, Jamestown has expanded its asset portfolio into the U.S. and expanded into Latin America and Europe.

Mr. Bronfman has more than 25 years of experience in real estate and has directed the purchase, remodeling and oversight of more than $ 20 billion, including Chelsea Market in New York, Ponce City Market in Atlanta, Industry City in Brooklyn, Innovation. and Design Building in Boston, and Ghirardelli Square in San Francisco.

Prior to entering Jamestown, Mr. Bronfman became a lawyer at Holland & Knight. He currently serves on the boards of the Association of Foreign Real Estate Investors (AFIRE), the Atlanta BeltLine Partnership, the Metro Atlanta Chamber, the Great Atlanta Jewish Federation, and the Jewish Funders Network. Mr. Bronfman is also chairman of the board of directors of the Jamestown Charitable Foundation, which helps nonprofits help make cities more pleasant places to live and work. He has been recognized as an industry leader and has received the Real Estate Roundtable President’s Circle Award; The 100 most powerful people in the New York Observer in New York real estate in 2013 and 2015; Commercial Observer The 100 most powerful people in commercial real estate in 2015, 2016 and 2017; The most admired CEO of the Atlanta Business Chronicle in 2017; The 500 strongest leaders in Atlanta magazine in 2019; and Georgia Trend’s top 100 most influential Georgians in 2019.

Mr. Bronfman graduated from Phi Beta Kappa and summa cum laude at Tufts University in Boston and attended law school at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL, where he graduated with magna cum laude.
