Apple iMac (24 inch, 2021) review: Powerful and colorful

With these upgrades, oh, and instead of the awesome Magic Mouse, the $ 50 Magic Trackpad still you cannot use it as charged; your amount is $ 1,429. Touch ID, Ethernet, and a good mice should not be added. At the moment, the $ 1,499 model makes more sense because it includes Ethernet and Touch ID, more ports, and an extra core for the graphics processing unit (a total of $ 1,549 with the trackpad upgrade). In any case, do not stick it with the iMac base. Customize your order and add these features.

The other two new versions to consider are storage and RAM. Most people can get away with 256 gigabytes of storage, but you can add 1 terabyte. Also, 8 standard RAMs should be enough for most people, but you should know that they exist zero RAM upgrade modes on M1 Macs. If you’re doing creative work with photos and videos, pay an extra $ 200 at 16 gigabytes. If not, 8 GB will be satisfied, but having more RAM is always the safest option for your future machine.

Smooth experience (mostly)

The M1 chip inside is the same as the 13-inch MacBook Pro version, Air, and Mac Mini. Unlike air, the iMac has a fan to dissipate heat, so it can draw and hold a little more energy for larger workloads. (The fan rarely turns on in my experience and is very, very quiet when turned on.) My benchmark tests show the performance sitting between the Air and the Pro, which makes sense given that the M1 gives more and more resolution. screen.

It has more power than most people need, which means editing photos in Photoshop and Lightroom, or editing 4K videos in Adobe Premiere and other video editing software. Games like Arkham City and Transistor it ran smoothly, and although many applications for M1 are optimized, I have had no problems with software written for Intel-based machines.

The best thing you’ll be looking at most is the 4,480 x 2,520 pixel LCD screen. It can look bright, the colors are very natural and they are wonderful. That said, I did share the time I saw the Snyder cut (ridiculously long) Justice League Between the iMac and the new one iPad Pro, and I favored the experience of the latter. The new Apple Pro Mini LED display technology creates pleasing contrasts on the iPad Pro, with deeper blacks and brighter glows. But it’s something I only noticed next to each other with two screens.

As an ultramarine monitor often uses, the iMac’s 24-inch screen is narrow. However, I was able to operate it easily in the front and middle of Safari and in the back of Slack and Telegram. (Note: You can only connect a single external display to M1 machines, so if you want a triple-screen setup, you’ll need to consider third-party solutions.) I miss the glass nano-texture used by Apple. 27-inch iMac. I had located this machine in the same place where the new iMac took it and I never saw it shine. This is not the case with this model. It would be nice to have this glossy glass as an optional addition for people who can place it next to an iMac window.
