If you feel it as you just saw on Apple a talk full of product ads because you did it! Last month, Apple management appeared at a live video presentation they showed New iMacs, new iPads and some other colorful trinkets.
But this week will mark the arrival of Apple Worldwide Developers Conference, an annual meeting showcasing all the improvements that the company has made to iOS, macOS, iPadOS and all the software that provides its devices and services. So while last month’s show was all about atoms, this week’s presentation is a bit.

The short version is a must-see preview of upcoming versions of the software that powers iPhones, iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, and Apple TV boxes. WWDC is, in and of itself, a conference for developers. So we can expect the presentation to be slightly more technical than the Apple product ad.
One thing we are sure of is that today’s session will be just a preview of things to come. The software that Apple will show at the launch will come to devices this year (probably in September) and until then will only be available to developers and beta testers.

This Apple TV option is as new as last year; now Apple has its own streaming service, it also has a dedicated video app on mobile devices, Apple TV boxes, Roku boxes and some smart TVs. You can open this app and watch Monday’s event by subscribing to the monthly Apple TV + streaming service or not.
We recommend that you start streaming on TV using the YouTube app or the Apple TV app. The company’s highly attractive storefronts offer many high-impact audiovisuals that look good in a larger format. Also, if you watch it on TV, this frees up your laptop for slacking and tweeting about Craig Federighi’s hair. (Apple’s vice president directs the show at WWDC and he really does impressive bristle.)
You expect Apple’s presentation to take about 90 minutes. Once the event is over, go back to WIRED for coverage that includes ads, and highlight the industry trends that Apple is responding to with its latest software versions and moving forward.
