Investing.com – Shares in Australia were higher after closing on Wednesday as sector earnings and sector shares rose.
At the close of Sydney, it rose 0.31%.
The best performance of the session was Spark Infrastructure Group (ASX :), which rose 7.83% or 0.180 points to close at 2,480. Meanwhile, Blackmores Ltd (ASX:) added 6.17% or 4.44 points to 76.43 and Ramelius resources Ltd (ASX:) rose 5.06% or 0.085 points to 1.765.
The worst results of the session were Zip Co Ltd (ASX :), which fell 11.38% or 0.94 points to close at 7.32. Afterpay Touch Group Ltd (ASX:) fell 9.59% or 11.35 points to finish at 107.00 and Lynas Rare Earths Ltd (ASX:) fell 5.63% or 0.360 points to 6,040.
Falling stocks on the Sydney Stock Exchange ranged from 680 to 647 and 402.
Shares in the Spark Infrastructure Group (ASX 🙂 rose to a 52-week high; 7.83% or 0.180 and 2,480 gains.
The S & P / ASX 200, which measures the implied volatility of 200 options, fell to 11.627.
August gold delivery futures rose 0.24% or $ 4.30 to $ 1814.20 a troy ounce. In commodity trade, crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.05% or 0.04% to $ 75.29 a barrel, and the September Brent oil contract rose 0.05% or 0.04% to trade at $ 76.53 a barrel.
AUD / USD rose 0.19% to 0.7460, and AUD / JPY rose 0.05% to 82.44.
The futures of the US dollar index fell 0.11% to 92,655.
