The handles feature an easy-to-use Shimano 8-speed gearbox, reliable Tektro disc hydraulic brakes and an LCD display with ride data such as mileage, speed (make sure you change from mile to mile) and distance traveled. . With the buttons to the left of the screen, you can traverse five levels of pedal support (or use gas).

With the help of the pedal, the first and second levels will help you to hike on longer walks and over steep mountains, but the three levels get a good balance of effort without sweating. He told me that levels four and five were usually very easy, but they didn’t leave me with the “air pedal” feeling I felt with the Lectric XP.

Rather, the 750-watt Shengyi rear hub motor provides smooth power and stops when you don’t pedal. There was a problem with the 500-watt rear hub motor of the Lectric XP; there were a few seconds left when I stopped pedaling, as it was dangerous. I had no such problem with Kutty X. The engine is powerful enough to easily climb the hills of Brooklyn as well. In terms of distance, it depends on a number of factors and which level of pedal support you use, but I usually walked about 20 miles before I had to reload.

Fat-Tire Fun
