That’s why we’ve put together healthy ones Halloween candy options along with some simple tips to keep kids (and actually us) from going overboard.
Halloween candy is one of the greatest pleasures of life, but it certainly causes us harm health. We know how much bad has been added sugar it’s really for us, but that doesn’t necessarily mean we have to cut it completely. While this may work for some, for others (myself included), consideration may make a difference without feeling overly restrictive.
After all, everyone deserves to be celebrated and enjoyed from time to time.
Whether you have children or not, these healthy Halloween desserts are a great way to exchange unhealthy ingredients for those who are a little less horrible. I have included both health1 There are also traditional Halloween dishes and some lesser-known organic options. Keep reading to the kids for tips on how not to overdo it on Halloween:
Charge the kids before exchanging or treating them with a nutritious dinner. Once they get a belly full of healthy vegetables and protein, they will be less likely to eat too much candy. (It also happens at the end of the time when sweets are in the house).
Set the candy cutting time before it comes out well. The worst thing you can do is accidentally cut a child out of candy. Before the night starts, give the candy that the candy will disappear for a certain hour so you can see it coming and mentally prepare it.
Consider asking if they will exchange their candy with toys with Switch Witch. If you think your kids might be so happy, tell them that Switch Witch will visit them while they sleep and exchange half of the candy for a new toy. (Full disclosure: One friend worked beautifully, but another child’s child was horrified at the mere thought of a witch in their home. So it can only be used on a case-by-case basis when your child has a good chance of spying on a witch.)
Keep sweets in a place where they can’t be seen all day. You know what they say out of sight, out of mind! If they have 24/7 access, it will be more difficult to observe candy consumption.
Offer to exchange 10 pieces of candy movies or other beloved activity. If Switch Witch isn’t their atmosphere, you can exchange it yourself!
