How do you spend the first five minutes of the day? There is no better time to lie on the floor than in the morning and set the tone for the day to prepare your body and mind. And since we only have about 25,000 mornings in adult life, it’s time to tell. Ours A call to wake up series, we take a look inside the morning routines of the people we admire to inspire our AM rituals and walk our best. Next up is mom, producer, TV and podcast presenter, Catt Sadler’s morning routine.
One of my favorite quotes says, “Be the energy you want to attract,” which means if you share kindness and positivity with the world, it will come back to you. Catt Sadler is one of those who shows this law of attraction in action. If you have followed him on Instagram or he saw many conversations on his red carpet E! as one of the hosts of. News, Daily Pop and other E! shows, you couldn’t be blamed for assuming he was living a charming life. Definitely Catt is wonderful, rumored and ridiculous. But a closer look reveals a woman who has worked hard to build a long career. face of challenges, and prioritizes his relationships above all else. In other words, it puts a lot of good into it and returns a lot of benefits.
I’ve been a fan of Catt’s podcast for a long time (he introduced his latest Sure it’s a beautiful day earlier this year and recently started a weekly show, A drink with live! in which she interviews horrible women in front of a live virtual audience) and we felt like we were already friends, even though we had never met her. So of course, “A call to wake up”The card and we asked him if we could interview him in his morning routine. You know, so we could hang on to the IRL. It worked! Catt invited us to the light bungalow in his Hancock Park and poured out details of his favorite books for the AM inspo, highlighting the knitting skin care routine and unexpected career.

Tell us about your new podcast, Sure it’s a beautiful day. What prompted him?
I have created an invigorating space for people who want more joy in life. For people who want to feel less alone in combat. The girl gab-sesh story encounters a splash of clarity, as my guests share.
It’s completely unfiltered and it’s very rewarding for me professionals to share more my parts with the world. It seems that I do more, that others are allowed to do the same, and that there is power in that!
It’s been exciting to see you continue to evolve through the different stages of your career. What has been your biggest study in the last year?
Thank you! When the pandemic forced me to slow down, I made a real inventory of my life. Calmness taught me to take better care of myself so I could provide better service to others. I also learned commitment through different disciplines that made me a happier human being. More consistent exercise. See consistently my therapist. More writing and praying.
Maintaining healthy practices day in and day out works really if you want to stretch your most powerful head.
Let’s get on with your morning routine. What time is your wake-up call?
I usually wake up between 6:30 and 7:00 in the morning. I don’t like sleeping less than seven hours anymore. The older you get the more you sleep. I take listening to my body as a priority. Luckily my boys are 16 to 20 years old, so they set alarms (and generally sleep much later than me), so this time of day is pretty quiet and peaceful.
What’s always on your nightstand?
My SLIP eye mask, a lavender room and a linen spray, a large glass of lemon water in my YETI (it gets colder), and a phone in the charger.
What is the first thing you do when you wake up?
The first thing I do is mascot and cuddle with my rescue, Nipsey. He is my little dog who sleeps with me. Luckily, Scarlett my German Shephard prefers a bed on the floor next to us.
What is a typical morning like for you?
First, I let the dogs into the outside yard. Then I go to the kitchen make coffee. It’s a delicious ritual for me. I grind the beans, boil the water for the press, and even steam the oat milk. Divine! Then directly to my home office desk I’ll make a diary a few minutes. Before I open the inbox it sets the tone for my stuff and things go crazy.
Catt’s living room is an oasis of tranquility, a great time to read and remember.
What morning rituals set you up for success?
Pre-work rituals are preparing my bed (most days), opening the curtains (I love the Cali sun!), Preparing coffee, my accessoriesand writing in both of my magazines along with easy, cool instrumental music. One is a thank you magazine, the other I keep letters to my spiritual guides. I ask for instructions in this magazine, how to use or correct it in the right way, or I share in my head or anything else that weighs on me. I once heard that in order for the universe to really hear your wishes, you had to not only think about them, but also write them down. It shows commitment.
What are your favorite books?
I am obsessed today How to Do the Work Dr. Nicole LePera and Leave it as a woman By the hand of Holly Whitaker.

I don’t eat breakfast before coffee. Naturally, I think I am technically periodic fasting most days. I hear my body and I usually get hungry or need some fuel around 11:00. Some of my favorite at home are the world’s easiest avocado toast or the world’s most intricate smoothie (I add so many superfoods and super powders that it’s ridiculous – the recipe below). Think about it! bars At my desk, I can take easy snacks that are good for me.

What has stood out so far in your career and why?
Would someone who thought leaving work be the pinnacle of one’s career? For me, it was. Taking the position and moving away from the unjust situation seemed like a rare story to me, but the answer was so, in the end, that my jump meant something to many women, not just me.
The necessary conversation about equal pay was louder because of my decision, and it’s pretty wonderful.
