Christian Eriksen is “awake” after falling in the match

The Euro 2020 football match was canceled on Saturday evening as Christian Eriksen, a Danish footballer who fell on the pitch and struggled to revive the medical staff in front of amazing players and fans.

Denmark and Finland stopped on Saturday towards the end of the first half of the match they played in Copenhagen when Eriks fell to the ground and started making convulsions.

Several players and English referee Anthony Taylor immediately called for help. The medical staff rushed to the field and could be seen performing CPR for a few minutes.

Eriksen’s Danish members completed the coat of arms to offer privacy to the thousands of fans in the stands. The match’s TV coverage ended shortly thereafter.

The Danish Football Association later said Eriksen was “awake” to his “stable” condition at the hospital.

Uefa said the match will start again after consultation with the teams. The players returned to the field while fans of both teams shouted Eriks ’name.

Eriksen, a 29-year-old star player, won the Italian Serie A football league this season with Inter Milan. Known as a founding midfielder, he has represented his country 108 times and has also played for major European clubs such as Tottenham Hotspur in England and Ajax in the Netherlands.

The match between Denmark and Finland was the third match of the Euro 2020, the tournament of the month that started on Friday, and has 24 national teams playing in 11 European cities.

The competition was delayed by a year due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and strict health and hygiene protocols were adopted to prevent the outbreak among the groups.
