Does everyone do this weird thing on vacation? – Wired PR Lifestyle Story

Every time Alex and I travel, we can’t help ourselves …
After starting our trip or two or three days, eating at the neighborhood pizzeria and hitting the local playground, we inevitably pulled out our phones, scrolled through the real estate listings, and chose our “new” home. Money has no object, of course. It tells you how charming or nice the place is. We enter this town absorbed in the fantasy of starting a new life, imagining what our days would be like if we uprooted everything and landed there.
For example, when We were in California, we walked next to this wonderful hut, above, in Mendocino. Purple hydrangeas, heart on a wooden fence … Soon, I was pictured walking to the bookstore on Saturday mornings, screaming for kids to remember their bike helmets and screaming for the fog with the neighbors.
My friend Ben he goes a step further: “If I’m driving on vacation and the doors are open, I’ll always stop. I’m going to pretend I’m looking for a place. ” I laughed when he told me a lot – I imagined the only guy walking through the bedrooms, checking the water pressure and the kitchen appliances. “I love doing that,” he laughed. “It’s just one of those things.”
Do you also look at real estate on vacation? Any fun travel rituals?
PS The weirdest part of the holiday is the weirdest, and item # 1 you need for home guests.
