European powers are calling for Israel to stop expanding the settlement in the New Occupied East Jerusalem

European countries have warned that the expansion of Israel’s location will continue to hurt the chances of a viable Palestinian state.
France, Germany, Italy, Spain and Britain have called on Israel to stop construction of repairs in the occupied West Bank.
A joint statement on Thursday that tensions erupted in the occupied East Jerusalem in a case in which Palestinian families could be seen forcibly displaced from Sheikh Jarrah, was seen in a neighborhood where Jewish settlers backed by an Israeli court took several houses.
“We call on the Israeli government to reverse its decision to advance the construction of 540 settlement units in the Har Homa E area of the West Bank and to suspend its expansion policy in the Occupied Palestinian Territories,” they said. .
“If implemented, the decision to advance the settlements in Har Homa, between East Jerusalem and Bethlehem, will further damage the chances of a viable Palestinian state.”
Sheikh Jarrah clashes
Jerusalem, which has sacred sites for Judaism, Islam, and Christianity, is at the heart of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict.
Israel captured the East Jerusalem, West Bank, and Gaza Strip in the 1967 war. The Palestinian Authority considers East Jerusalem to be the capital of a future state, and considers the settlements that most of the international community has built in Israel and the rest of the occupied West Bank to be illegal.
Israel’s occupied annexation of East Jerusalem is also not recognized by most world leaders. Palestinians have long stated a range of state-sanctioned policies designed to expand the presence of Israeli-Jewish Jews in the city to the detriment of Palestinian residents, including house demolitions, daily police harassment, and the spread of settlements.
In Sheikh Jarrah, Israeli settlers and border police attacked a Palestinian vigil in the district again.
We don’t sleep when God knows when. We need to be constantly vigilant because they can invade our homes at any time. We have jobs, school, lives (supposedly) … all of this is done by settler bodies and Israeli politicians who encourage and fund settlers to persecute us. Imagine living this

The area was closed on Thursday night when Israeli far-right parliamentarian Itamar Ben-Gvir set up an office outside one of the Palestinian houses taken over by Israeli settlers.
“I came every afternoon because children and women are being attacked,” she said.
After the speech, Israeli settlers mocked and provoked the Palestinians as they were breaking their fast for Ramadan outside. The incidents took place and Israeli police arrested at least 15 Palestinians.
A Reuters reporter saw a car on fire on a street near the eviction site of settlers. Police confirmed it belonged to an Israeli. In the videos, then, an Israeli settler showed a gun firing from behind a wall.

Among the young Palestinian crowd gathered nearby, 17-year-old Mohammed Abu Snein said he did not know who set fire to the vehicle, but wanted settlers to flee.
“Why did they come, this land is ours. Why do they want to relocate us? he said.
