Global reaction to the ceasefire between Israel and Hamas in Gaza New Israel-Palestine Conflict

The ceasefire is pleased that the UN leader is calling for real efforts to address the root causes of the conflict and achieve national reconciliation.

A ceasefire has been put in place in the Gaza Strip after Egypt reached an 11- to 11-day conflict to reach an agreement between Israel and Hamas.

Thousands of people in Gaza and Palestinian territories were thrown out into the streets to celebrate the ceasefire, waving flags and flashing “V” symbols for victory.

At least 232 Palestinians, including 65 children, have been killed in Israeli bombings.

On the Israeli side, 12 people, including two children, have been killed.
