(Reuters) – A California judge has sentenced a man nicknamed the “Hollywood Ripper” to death on Friday for allegedly murdering two women in the early 2000s, one of whom was preparing for an appointment with actor Ashton Kutcher.

Los Angeles High Court Judge Larry Paul Fidler has sentenced former 45-year-old handcuff Michael Thomas Gargiulo, an air-conditioning repairman and actor, also known as “Rear Killer” and “Killer Killer.” “The media.

Gargiulo’s lawyers did not immediately return calls to Reuters on Saturday. But Gargiulo maintained his innocence throughout the trial.

He spoke before the court before the verdict and complained that his lawyers should be allowed to testify, including the Los Angeles Times.

“I will die badly and unjustly,” the Times and other media outlets said.

Judge Fidler responded to the court in a televised sentence, “Mr. Gargiulo went everywhere, chasing deaths and destruction.”

Gargiulo was previously found guilty in 2001 when Ashley Ellerin, a 22-year-old fashion design student, was killed when she was ready to go out with Kutcher, who was killed in her Hollywood home.

Kutcher, a former star of the TV series “Two and a Half Men” and “70s Sessions,” testified at the 2019 trial that the date was late and that Ellerin did not answer the door.

He also told the court that when he looked out the window he saw blood stains, but he thought it was red wine spilled on the floor.

Gargiulo was also convicted in 2005 of stabbing 32-year-old Maria Bruno, a neighbor of Gargiulo in El Monte, California. He was caught in 2008 by another 26-year-old victim, Michelle Murphy, 26, when she defended herself and survived the attack. Santa Monica, a California home, showed up in court.

They found him guilty of attempted murder in the case of Gargiulo Murphy and want to seek him in an Illinois homicide case.
