The Palestinian Ministry of Health says the Israeli victim was killed by gunshot wounds to the head in the town of Beita.
Israeli forces have shot dead a Palestinian and wounded others in the occupied West Bank in a protest against Israeli settlements, the Palestinian Ministry of Health and doctors have reported.
The man was shot in the head by Israeli forces in the northern town of Beita and was injured at a Nablus hospital, the ministry said on Friday.
Beita is the scene of regular demonstrations against the spread of Jews, since May by residents against Israeli settlements without Israeli permission.
Palestinian media have identified the victim as Jamil Abu Ayyash of the West Bank Nablus.

The Israeli army has killed at least nine Palestinians with live ammunition since the Beita clashes began, according to Palestinian media. Hundreds were also injured by rubber-coated steel bullets and gas-fired vessels.
The Israeli army said it was “aware” of the death of a Palestinian, adding that “a violent incident had broken out in the area of the Givat Evian post south of Nablus.”
“During the riot, hundreds of Palestinians fired tires and stones at Israeli Defense Forces and Israeli Border Police troops, who responded with clashes to restore order,” the military said in a statement.
With the exception of occupied East Jerusalem, about 475,000 Israeli settlers live in the West Bank in illegal settlements inhabited by more than 2.8 million Palestinians. Settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories are considered illegal under international law.
The Palestinians see the West Bank as part of the future West Bank in the Six-Day War of 1967. Palestinians say Israeli policy to promote settlements in the Occupied Palestinian Territories is aimed at demographic change.
Jabal Sabih Beita was a Palestinian village on the outskirts of the Nablus in the northern West Bank. intense confrontations this year after numerous attempts by Israeli settlers to take over Palestinian areas.
In May, about 50 Israeli settler families moved in after lifting a set of Jabal Sabih caravans, about 35 dunams (3.5 hectares). Their presence, along with the army to protect them, prevented the Palestinians from entering their areas.
The area is under threat of confiscation by the Israeli army, which could declare it “state land” or turn it into a military base.
