Jake Paul Vs. Tyron Woodley’s Fight: Fighters Will Compete in Cleveland on August 29 at Showtime PPV

The boxing showdown between social media influencer Jake Paul and former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley has finally had a date. The two men will meet on Sunday, Aug. 29, for a Showtime pay-as-you-go session.

The event will take place at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland at 8pm with ET. Paul Vs. Woodley ended a great weekend for Showtime Boxing, fighting David Benavidez Jose Uzcategui last night.

Woodley will make his professional boxing debut. In July 2016 he gained weight in the UFC welterweight and held on to his belt in the next five fights. It was Woodley’s ugly end to the UFC when he and the promotions split after a four-fight split.

Paul has taken the discussion from Youtube to the boxing ring, fought three times on big stages, and drawn eyeballs at every step. After debuting AnEsonGib as a professional with the elimination on YouTuber, Paul continued with his first viral elimination NBA Star Nate Robinson, who was recently expelled by former UFC fighter Ben Askren. His career has received criticism and calls to deal with a more dangerous opponent, it looks like it would be Woodley, who has a background as a professional fighter, but has more striking skills than Askren.

“I’m an adult ass,” Woodley said in a press release. “I don’t play with kids. They brought me in to take out the trash. Welcome!”
