He’s not a traditional boilermaker, but New Jersey promises free beer for those who take to the streets and take a shot – that kind of vaccine.

Gov. Phil Murphy announced Monday that in May, residents over the age of 21 would receive free beer in May to receive the first dose of Covid-19 vaccine and take it to a brewery participating in the vaccination card.

Murphy highlighted 13 participating breweries across the state in a Twitter post.

The ad reflects a scheme to move forward in Connecticut, which is part of the three-state area along with New York and New Jersey. Governor Ned Lamont said late last month that from May 19, Connecticuters, which are fully vaccinated, will be able to get free drinks at participating restaurants (food must be purchased).

New Jersey is joining the list of states, cities, and businesses that are offering or considering incentives in an effort to maintain a slowdown in the pace of vaccinations and encourage the population to gain immunity from herds.

West Virginia Governor Jim Justice recently proposed a program that should offer a $ 100 savings bond to any resident of the state between the ages of 16 and 35 who receive the Covid-19 vaccine. However, he admitted on Monday that state officials had difficulty trying to implement the scheme and that it might not go ahead as planned.

Detroit offers $ 50 prepaid debit cards to pre-registered individuals, forcing another resident to receive a jab at selected vaccination sites.

Some businesses have offered incentives to customers as well as employees. Krispy Krem has offered free donuts to anyone who proves they have a Covid-19 vaccine for the rest of the day in 2021.

Employers at McDonald’s, Target, AT&T and Kroger, among others, are among those who offer free time, extra money or credit to the store that receives vaccine doses.
