Our family trip to California (and welcome back!) – Wired PR Lifestyle Story

How is your summer going so far? We’ve been missing you for the last 10 days and we’re happy to catch you! Tomorrow we will start our remodeling (we can’t wait to share it with you), and I’m grateful we had to go to California to visit relatives. Here are some photos from the trip, if you want to see …
Family travel can always have its ups and downs (remember this hilarious article?), but it’s much easier to travel now that the boys are older. First, we went to Sonomara. I couldn’t believe the beauty of passing the vineyards, and I told everyone to pinch themselves. “I feel like we’re inside Parental trap“, Toby said respectfully.
My father and twin sister He joined us on Airbnb, and after almost two years there was a party like being all together.
We ended up falling into a routine: every morning, while the other adults were sleeping or working, the boys and I would wake up, have breakfast, and go immediately. Train Town, which is a wonderful amusement park with six walks surrounded by trees. You can also take a 20-minute train ride, which stops halfway to feed goats and alpacas. The boys loved it so much, we went for four days in a row. (I watched it from a shady bench and listened to podcasts 🙂
In the afternoons, we swam and relaxed at home. One day, my dad, my sister and Alex went to taste wine, but the boys watched a movie and I sometimes slept on the couch it is best to do absolutely nothing, don’t you think?
In the evenings, we had dinner together on our backs. (It’s funny, I think my sister and now that we are much older, I look like a twin. Ginen being so different being children!)
My sister also made this delicious pasta, which is based on a recipe from my friend Gisela. Here it is: “Prepare frozen peas separately. Cook the pasta separately. Shave the parmesan bunch into a large skillet, sauté the garlic, add the chopped asparagus, salt the asparagus, cook the asparagus until half cooked (bright green but not yet al dente). Add enough heavy cream to cover the asparagus, bring to the boil, cook until the asparagus is done, sprinkle with peas. Remove from heat, then add parmesan. Stir in the parmesan until melted. Pour the pasta into the sauce. ‘ YUM.
After three nights in Sonoman, we said goodbye to my father and sister and headed up the coast to Mendocino. We stayed two nights in a hotel, but I would really recommend staying overnight An airbnb in town because it is very charming and foggy and strange.
One morning we rented a canoe and rowed down the river. We saw the seals and it lasted an hour and a half!
We stopped on the way back to the city Hendy Woods State Park to see the seats. Toby grumpy zen (rides, friends), but Anton loved to walk on the trunks of fallen trees and keep them from catching his eyes.
We ended the trip in San Francisco.
One evening, Alex took the boys to a huge game …
… while I was walking around, I had lunch with a friend Tartine Factory, she looked at the pretty shops and swallowed the cakes Frozen Greek yogurt. It’s such a pleasure spend time alone on trips, if you manage to escape!
Finally, here’s Anton Dolores walking home from the park: “Look, I’m a mother!” (Nailed).
Ahh, California, thank you for being us! We love you! What have you been up to lately? How has your summer been so far? I want to catch … xo
