Add the call to the list of reasons I love it Austin home – it’s amazing to live so great coffee town.

With coffee roasts with local roasts, owners and farms, visiting the barista in your neighborhood is the easiest way to help our local economy.

And they like things in these cafes so much better than what you’ll find on big chains (you know that), plus their beans are much cleaner and more negotiable.

That said, the thought of rounding out the best of the best is a bit overwhelming, as the list isn’t complete enough to include all of the neighborhood’s hobbies. Located in South First, this cafe makes you feel right at home with high quality coffee, customer service and a friendly lounge atmosphere. Bring your baby and enjoy the outdoor seating too!

Radio Coffee & Beer

Monday Bluegrass nights and food trucks. Done.

Tomorrow

Actually, you can spend the whole day exploring the different restaurants and shops at the South Congress Hotel, and the local cafe, Mañana, is the perfect place to recharge your SoCo adventure.

Hot L Coffee

Located inside the Carpenter Hotel, Hot (el) Coffee is all you want in the cafe, with nice seating, a fresh atmosphere and an amazing coffee that is obvious.

Cosmic Coffee

Cosmic is like the place where an old hippie in your Austin neighborhood can open up in his backyard. Think of rainwater harvesting, local composting, chicken coops and lush vegetable and herb gardens. The only thing they take more seriously than sustainability is coffee.

Cenote

With two locations in Austin, Cenote offers coffee along with a full menu of ingredients of local origin, not to mention the fun outdoor seating!

Wright Bro’s Brew & Brew

Coffee during the day, beer at night (or vice versa). This industrial space in East Austin focuses equally on beer and coffee, and has many events in the bright, airy space next door.

Flat track

This small store has had a huge impact on the coffee community around Austin. Go east to Cesar Chavez and grab a coffee or buy a bag of beans. You will not be disappointed.

East Austin’s dream is alive at Flitch. Take your cup or high-end espresso out of this refurbished old-fashioned trailer, and enjoy it in a gravel yard full of mixed and mixed furniture and probably very pretty dogs.

Merit Coffee

If you’re from Dallas or San Antonio, you might be familiar with Merit Coffee. We guys are so happy that last year they opened three beautiful wonderful locations in Austin. Behind that merit the creators are “obsessed with coffee,” and it gets into their beer.

Half better

In the heart of downtown ATX, this coffee maker has an all-day coffee shop with a dog-friendly patio and a huge parking lot.

Idlewild Coffee Collab

Idlewild Coffee Co. shares a coffee space directly from the best climates in the world with one of the best skate shops in Austin, up the street from Graffiti Park. A latte with one side of the skate boy bag.

Caffe Medici

Technologists and politicians visit this cafe located in the center every day in cafes, one of the six locations in Austin. Located in the middle of Congress Avenue, the two-story Medici is a long-standing favorite.

North Austin

Sa-Ten

This art café offers an amazing Japanese-American fusion menu, along with espresso and coffee drinks. Tour the scene around the Canopy location (East), or head north and refuel at Airport Boulevard. location.

Houndstooth

Houndstooth has six locations in Austin and Dallas, but the one in North Lamar is original. Their roasted coffee, Tweed, is a favorite for the Austin community. With a clean and modern atmosphere, this café aims to be a model in your daily life.

Hankena

Located in the Windsor Park neighborhood, this cafe is connected to a restaurant with a great indoor and outdoor atmosphere. The best part: there’s a drive-through.

Thunderbird

Local Thunderbird Coffee is a favorite among Northern Austinites. They are proud of the high quality fair trade product, but the local people continue to return the excellent rate and cold atmosphere.

Picnik

Enter this cafe with the best health food in town and a full menu of next-generation butter with sweet coffee. Do you find it weird? That’s because you haven’t tried it. Visit Picnik’s Burnet location for a great dining experience, or grab a cup of butter to go on the South Lamar trailer.
