Default rest.

I make an effort to block Sundays from resting, but to be honest, it doesn’t always happen that way (working out work limits). Whatever it is, I leave the second half of the day open for free passage to start the Sunday night routine in the early afternoon. My many weeks in a hurry are crazy. I tend to underestimate how long things take. Time is basically elusive. With long Sunday afternoons / evenings, I don’t have to worry about packing things up. I can finally shiver and let things happen.

Get out.

I often spend Sundays with my husband, Jack. If it’s sunny, we love spending the day outside. We will take a walk or take a swim in Barton Springs. It’s so nice to be together in nature, even if it’s just a walk through the neighborhood with our dogs. The sun sets in front of our house beyond the oaks, and I like to catch it before it splashes out of the windows of our door.

Walking without a phone feels rhythmic and meditative. My head allows me to think freely with each step.

Sometimes I go with my husband Jack so we can share our thoughts with each other. Walking in step with someone you love has so much to do with it. The movement encourages dynamic dialogue or soothing silence. It’s a great way to synchronize your head and body. It feels like starting and ending the day with a walk is cyclical and basic. The young and energetic Pitbull also leaves you chilling.

But first … clean up!

I start the walk on Sunday evenings to make sure the house is clean and tidy before being scanned. My days are very busy and since a large part of my work takes place at home, things are definitely piling up. Although maintenance is ideal, it is not always achieved. He has to give something.

To reset Sundays, I like to use a clean whiteboard. The sound of the dishwasher and clothes is soothing and soothing. It looks like I’ve been cleaning up any dirt since the week.

I wash my hair once a week (maximum). It’s an important process and it’s usually a hair mask that takes time to practice magic. Admittedly, Jack and I tend to have Eurostyle dinner (pretty late). I’ll start cooking around 7pm (while my hair is done in disguise) and I like to create a nut muffin a week while things are on a low heat. I tend to skip breakfast and I personally don’t generate much energy or productivity. Walnut muffins are easy to take and are an excellent source of nutrition. After dinner, I will wash my haircut mask and go through a skin care routine.

Jack and I are important filmmakers. We like to watch movies and shows. Right now we’re really into the East of Mare. Before I go to bed, I do a big brain work, write down the previous week’s earnings and lessons, and scan the previous week’s schedule to make sure I’m all right. Sometimes I’ll reflect for a few minutes, other times I’ll read a few pages from a quiet book, always burning a candle. We usually turn off the lights around 11pm.

Start the night routine at AM

As a solopreneur and artist, every day is Wednesday. My “fears” aren’t specific to Sundays, but I do have night / night anxiety. I actually did a panel recently where I found out about my cortisol from 7:00 pm to 7:00 pm. When I feel anxiety, my energy goes up and my brain tends to spiral. It worries me that I haven’t done enough or that I will lose something the day before. I create lies and worry about anything that comes up in my cyclical thoughts.

To deal with the peak of stress and embarrassment, I actually make the effort to spend an effective morning. Steven Pressfield it speaks of small victories that lead to productive work and a quiet mind. I work early and follow the routine of regular supplements. From 10am onwards I don’t take coffee and keep it in a single cup. That way, my body can stay balanced and steady as the day progresses. In the afternoon, I like to explain the victories and lessons of the day and the intentions and priorities for the next day.

I love mantra: Strength and fluidity.

Write.

If I work Sunday night, it’s just for writing. It’s a day to clean up, to restore. Whatever I’m writing, I feel like I’m doing that. I think a lot … almost all the time … and often about serious or esoteric things. Writing allows me to clear my head so that there is more space to relax, have fun and dedicate my quality time.

Turn off your phone.

I’m really careful not to turn anything on or check it out any accounts (email, bank, Instagram, etc.). There are too many external forces that can affect my thinking and on a day off I can’t afford that. I also make an effort to save myself and Jacki on Sunday nights, which means socializing away from home. A large part of my work is dedicated to people. Setting this limit is very important.

Make room.

In the past, I had a lamp, a candle, a dream magazine, moisturizing oil, and the current book I’m reading. But we recently removed the nightstands, decorating the bedroom again. I liked having a clean space next to the bed. I’ve heard that the bedroom has to offer sleep, intimacy and nothing else. There is something so beautiful, simple and sacred about that intentionality.

Before you prepare.

I keep it simple walnut muffins round trip in the mornings. I prefer cooking as the week goes on.

Become comfortable.
