The state of New South Wales in Australia reported 29 locally acquired COVID-19 cases on Saturday, and authorities said they would impose further restrictions on partially blocked Sydney as exposure sites increased.

Saturday’s data includes 17 infections in the country’s most populous state that were already announced on Friday, bringing the number of infections associated with the Bondi blast to 80.
