Australia kept their final hopes alive in the West Indies in the 1st match of the 2021 T20 World Cup Super 12 Group on Saturday with an eight-wick victory.
Already out of the race for the finals, West Indies champion Kieron Pollard pushed the skipper to 157 in the seventh, breaking 44 runs with 31 balls.
The valuable contributions of Evin Lewis (29), Shimron Hetmyer (27) and Andre Russell (18 not out of 7) have also helped send the Caribbean team a decent total.
Pacer Josh Hazlewood took four wickets for 39 runs, his second-best figure in the T20Is.
Australian starter David Warner scored 89 of 56 unbeaten balls, while Mitchell Marsh scored 53 while renewing his goal in a 16.2 overs.
