The lawyer said one of the founders of Kamayut Media, who was arrested in March, will return to the US on Tuesday.
A U.S. journalist arrested in Myanmar since March has been released after police dropped charges against him, according to his lawyer.
Nathan Maung was released from Insein prison in Yangon on Monday and will return to the Americas on Tuesday, lawyer Tin Zar Oo told AFP.
He added that Maung, who founded the local Kamayut Media outlet, accused him of criminalizing the promotion of military dissent under the law of the colonial era.

Earlier this month, a Myanmar journalist who worked at another store was jailed for two years under the same law.
Myanmar has been in turmoil since the military ousted elected Aung San Suu Kyi on February 1 when thousands took to the streets to protest the massive uprising.
The military has responded with force: they have shot protesters, arrested alleged dissidents in nightclubs, directed journalists and shut down the news.
Maung was arrested on March 9 in Myanmar’s largest city, Yangon. Hanthar Nyein, who co-founded Kamayut Media with Maung, was arrested and remains in prison.
Maung was one of two American journalists arrested by the Myanmar army. US citizen Danny Fenster, editor of Frontier magazine, was held on May 25th while he was trying to leave the country. Authorities have yet to provide information on his whereabouts and well-being.
Since the February coup, security forces have killed more than 860 civilians, a local control group has reported.
