The US Open will have 100 percent fans at the tennis tournament in August

The US Open tennis tournament will be played later this summer in New York. It was announced on Thursday that the tournament will be played at the Flushing Meadows in New York from August 30 to September 12, It will allow 100% fan capacity.

The COVID-19 pandemic comes a year after spectators were banned from the Grand Slam tournament.

The announcement also announced that after 48 hours, New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced that most guidelines for social distance in the state will be relaxed, with 70 percent of the population having at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine. The US Open will mark the first Grand Slam tournament to be filled with fans from the Australian Open 2020. This tournament was held in February 2020, before the COVID-19 pandemic began to close the sports world.

The All England Club and the UK government have recently announced that the Grand Slam tournament will have a 50% fan capacity to start with, but that could rise to 100 per cent when the men’s and women’s finals are rounded up.
