Twitch said transgender, bisexual, black and disabled labels – labels that players can add to videos – will provide a more inclusive experience for its 30 million users.

Twitch, the world’s largest gaming reproduction service, has said players can add a transgender label to their videos – the company said the move will help it reach 30 million players daily.

Twitch, which allows users to play video games, has introduced more than 350 new “transgender”, “bisexual”, “black” and “disabled” tags, tags that users can add to their videos.

“This has been one of the most popular requests we’ve heard, and the simple truth is that we should have done it sooner,” Amazon-owned Twitch said in a blog post last week.

He then broke the news to users on Wednesday.

Technology companies have come under pressure to make their products more inclusive among transgender people, with Instagram and LinkedIn allowing users to add pronouns to their profiles, amid a heated debate over what it means to be male or female.

A U.S. raft wants to ban young trans Americans from doing school sports or receiving medical care, as they have registered 18 “anti-LGBTQ” bills in the law this year, according to the Human Rights Campaign advocacy group.

“Adding that trans label makes it very easy for us to find each other and connect with each other,” Casey, who plays CaseyExplosion as a username and didn’t want to give her full name, told the Thomson Reuters Foundation.

“That’s essential, because for a lot of gaming space, if you’re LGBT, there’s a kind of unspoken, ‘Don’t ask, don’t say.'”

The existing “LGBTQIA” label wasn’t accurate enough to help trans people connect easily, especially because it included “allies” from the “A” community, said Laura Dale, who plays herself in Pokemon and Zelda games as LauraKBuzz.

“The range of LGBT identities is quite wide,” he said.

Twitch says about 70 percent of users are between 13 and 34 years old. They play 68 million to 73 million hours a day collectively, according to official Twitch Tracker data.
