A few months back, our team met in Austin for our first annual event editor’s peak. It was a weekend for books. If you have a chance to go, this is your gentle push. Despite being a completely gluten-free, soy-free and sugar-free menu, the food is very satisfying, it feeds on the inside. From Sunrise Yoga to Homemade Smoothies
As a group, we started the day with an outdoor yoga / pilates class. As the sun was looking down on the line of trees, we poured out and stretched out. You can also add homemade bacon, mushrooms, wagyu steak or chickpeas and lentils “chorizo”. We got the latter. When Jon started sautéing the legumes, cider vinegar dust, peppercorns, herbs, etc., smelled pleasant. We couldn’t wait to probe. Unlike most soy-based vegan sausages, The Well takes a different approach. Instead of soy, chickpeas and lentils provide protein, fiber, and other essential nutrients (hello, folate, and iron!). Chorizo oil
Finally, Jon walked us through their nasty chorizo oil. Made with fresh garlic, cumin seeds, paprika, turmeric, jalapenos and olive oil, this oil is liquid gold.
