What does Bezos mean for the big days for commercial space flight

[ad_1]

This week, Jeff Bezos flew into space. Or at least technically high enough to get into the sky. Although the 10-minute joy of the Blue Origin rocket was primarily intended to draw attention to its space tourism company, the former CEO of Amazon also has greater ambitions. It seeks to usher in a new era of space colonization, with the primary goal of creating a new home in the human cosmos.

Of course, being the richest person in the world and the head of one of the largest retail companies on the planet means that he has directly contributed to the biggest problems in society. Bezos seems to believe that in order to save the Earth, we must leave it.

This week at Gadget Lab, Steven Levy, editor-in-chief of WIRED, joined us to talk about Jeff Bezos ’big day and what it means for the future of humanity.
