What is your rose, thorn and bud?

Last year, as we had a lot of family dinners, we started the old tradition of roses, thorns, sprouts. Do you want to play? Here’s how it works …
Basically, everyone surrounds and shares a rose (a positive thing that happened that day), a thorn (a negative thing that happened that day) and a sprout (something they are looking forward to).
The beginning of the conversation works much better with “how did you spend your day?” Once I read it, asking your little child about their day at school is like asking an adult, “How have the last 20 years of your life been?”
I like to hear the ups and downs of guys, like being new oppression or fearing a science project (although Anton often says his rose is “screen time,” moaning). Also, it’s nice to share mine, even though I’m always a mom ™ this: “My rose to be with you !!!!!!”
So! This spring evening, I’d like to ask: What’s the rose, thorn, and sprout in your life right now? In general, what are you happy about, worried about, and looking forward to? I would love to hear it. xo
PS Six ways to get your child talking at dinner, and happiness vs wholeness.
