WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The U.S. House of Representatives committee, which is investigating the deadly January 6 incident at the Capitol, said Monday that it had subpoenaed Alex Jones Infowars, founder of the right-wing website, and ally of former President Donald Stone Donald. Trump.

The commission also issued subpoenas to request documents and testimony from Dustin Stockton, longtime Trump adviser Steve Bannon and Stockton’s boyfriend, Jennifer Lawrence.

Stockton and Lawrence were members of the We Build the Wall group, which was searched by federal agents in August 2020 as part of a fraud investigation.

He also summoned Trump’s spokeswoman Taylor Budowich.

Now the jury has issued more than three dozen citations and received the testimony of more than 200 witnesses.

Stone said in a note that he had not yet seen the citation, adding, “I was not aware of the events that took place at the Capitol that day.”

The other four who made the final citations did not immediately respond to requests for comment.

Bannon declined a subpoena from the House Select Committee on charges of contempt of Congress, which was indicted earlier this month.

A pro-Trump group stormed the Capitol on Jan. 6 in an attempt to prevent Democrat Joe Biden from losing his formal election to Congress. The commission is investigating actions by Trump on these events. Bannon is the first to suffer criminal charges arising from the panel investigation.

Nearly 700 people have been charged with involvement in the Capitol riots. It was the most serious attack on the U.S. government headquarters since the 1812 War.
