US ITC examines possible breaches of circuit and device patents Reuters

WASHINGTON (Reuters) – The US International Trade Commission said on Wednesday it would launch an investigation into integrated circuits, chipsets and electronic devices, based on a complaint. NXP semiconductors NV (NASDAQ 🙂 Taiwan and its US unit.

NXP claims that imports of these products violate the company’s patents, and has asked ITC to issue a limited warrant to stop these imports, the agency said.

The US ITC said the probe would be targeted at imports from Taiwan MediaTek Inc. and its US subsidiary; Amazon (NASDAQ :); Belkin International and Linksys.
