Lex Greensill, a financier who secured a place in the heart of the British government, took on his privileged role without any contract or explanation for his work, two Whitehall executives revealed on Monday.

“We can’t explain how those decisions were made or why. . . it seems that there were conflicts and we are not clear how they were handled. We can’t see the evidence from our superficial gaze. ”Case added that Greensill’s appointment“ doesn’t look right ”or“ appropriate ”.
Greensill described the business card he described as a “first adviser” to the prime minister’s office. The case confirmed that he had been given security permission to enter Downing Street and the Cabinet Office, but could not state what he was doing.
Case and Tierney’s evidence came amid a whirlwind of allegations – labeled “dirty” by Labor opposition parties – in the behavior of successive Conservative governments, including new claims about Boris Johnson’s handling of the coronavirus crisis.
Johnson denied multiple press reports, saying he would rather “let thousands of bodies pile up” than order the third Covid-19 closure in England. Labor MP Rachel Reeves has accused the prime minister of “breaking standards in public life”.
Asked if he used those words, Johnson said, “No, but again I think that’s the most important thing, [is] we want people to continue as a government, to make sure the closures work, and they have done that. ”
Sir Keir Starmer, the Labor leader, said he was surprised when he told the prime minister. “If he says those things, he’ll have to explain.”
But Cabinet Office Secretary Michael Gove has told lawmakers that it is “horrible” to think Johnson has made such comments. “I was in that room, I had never heard a language like that,” he said.
The explosive allegations stem from a growing war on toxic information between Downing Street and Dominic Cummings Johnson’s former chief adviser, who believes the prime minister has mishandled the Covid-19 crisis.
Cummings will provide evidence of the pandemic to lawmakers next month, and his allies have suggested he has damn evidence to prove Johnson’s prevarication claims.
Johnson believes Cummings is responsible for some of the harmful leaks about him and his partner Carrie Symonds. Controversial weight reform on Downing Street.
In a blog post, Cummings denied that he was responsible for leaking information about the November coronavirus blockade, and instead blamed Prime Minister Henry Newman.
Case, which is investigating the fiction, told lawmakers that the “talkative rat,” a double leaker, will never be found and that the results of his investigation will be published in the coming weeks. He also said he has not broken national security laws.
