(Reuters) – Twitter Inc. (NYSE 🙂 said on Sunday that Marjorie Taylor Greene, a U.S. Republican representative, had been banned from her personal account for tweeting that she had repeatedly violated social media misinformation about COVID-19.

Twitter has temporarily suspended Greener’s @mtgreenee account. He also called some of his tweets “misleading.”

“Twitter is America’s enemy and can’t handle the truth,” Republican Greene said in a statement on the Telegram messaging app, adding that social media platforms “can’t stop the truth from spreading far. Great. Technology can’t stop the truth. Communist Democrats can’t stop the truth ».

Greene’s official representative account, @ReptMTG, remains active on Twitter.
