How to get into the flow state (and achieve optimal well-being)

I recently heard that the moment lasts two or three seconds. It’s here, and then it’s gone. It’s back! Oh, it’s gone again. Time it’s elusive, barely noticeable, but I’ve had those weird, enlightening experiences where time slows down – that space flow state.

Known to psychologists Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, defines the state of flow as “the optimal state of consciousness in which we feel our best and do our best”. Notice how consciousness it is without “oneself.” On the flow state activity. To get there, you need to be fully immersed in what you are doing.

To find out how to get into the flow state and why it is so beneficial, I turned to athletes, musicians, a certified yoga teacher, and creators. It has been undone, Paige Willis, to dissolve for us. He showed an accessible approach to this powerful form of being in body-body creation.

What does it mean to be in a state of flux?

You are in a state of flux when your mind and body are completely immersed in the moment.

It’s usually what we refer to as being “in the zone”.

Nothing can distract you or take you away from that task, not even hunger or fatigue. Basically, it’s getting a tremendous amount of light at every moment.

How to get in the flow state?

To stay in a state of flux, set the scene on the ground with rituals that make you feel comfortable. If you have to pay attention when you go to these rituals, it helps to get your head and body on the same page; it roots you in the moment.

Keep in mind that what you are doing in a flow state is not just any task, it has depth. In other words, being in a state of flux happens when you are concerned about what you are doing.

It requires a bit of passion and challenge. This immerses you in creating a business plan rather than making dishes for the LLC you dreamed of.

What are some recommended practices for linking the mind / body?

Yoga is my favorite way to find a mind-body connection. Joining your head and body on the mat and paying attention to it challenges you for a certain amount of time. Meditation is also great for getting that connection. With both practices, it’s important to know that there are many styles to choose from. So once you’ve done it and you hate it, try again. Find something that works for you.

When you practice yoga and meditation regularly, you begin to train your mind and body to look to the present, as a key component to being in a state of flow. Having a light conversation starts to warm you up to what your mind and body are feeling, working at the moment.

What are examples of flow status?

Each time you get stuck, you are in a state of flux. This can be in a yoga class, where you are using your head and body to go through different external forms or in a brain storm, when we come up with your next big creative project.

There is no limit to what can be a flow state for you, just key components. You will need minimal sense of space, foundation, passion, skill, challenge and attention.

I make room with rituals that make me feel grounded. These activities include listening to a playlist, taking a walk outside, reflecting, chatting with a friend, or preparing a meal. I pay close attention to the activities and people that make me feel good. The rite I choose depends on the task I’m preparing for and what I feel I need that day (yes, because it changes so often).

Why is the flow situation good for us? What are the benefits?

Being in a state of flux is good for your soul. It provides clarity and creates a space to concentrate on what you care about, which in itself makes us happy in the work we are doing.

It makes your head and body feel calmer and you will feel lighter. You will feel fulfilled and relaxed because you are doing your craft.

How to enter the flow state?

I start from a ritual that motivates me and when I start the task at hand I usually feel rooted and secure, which helps me tune in to the world and move inward. As a result of this rooting, the end product is real to me and what I’m talking about. Everything goes together.

Do what makes you feel good. Then do something you love and what comes out of it will be a representation of your inner aspect.

It’s very simple. But we lose the importance of giving ourselves time and space to prepare for a state of flux because we are in a state of constant grinding. We are accustomed to not taking time to breathe from meeting to meeting and asking ourselves, “What do I need? completely appear at this time? “
