Alisson made the 80-yard trip to the West Brom penalty to score a goal that would keep his team alive in the Champions League.
Liverpool goalkeeper Alisson Becker won the 95th minute as the Reds beat West Brom 2-1 on Sunday to hold a Champions League spot in their hands next season.
Jurgen Klopp’s men would need the benefits of Leicester and Chelsea unless they beat the already relegated Baggies in the last two games of the campaign.
But the Brazilian was sent off for a corner kick and headed home to Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Liverpool moved to a point from fourth-placed Chelsea and three from Leicester.
With Leicester and Chelsea still facing a replay in the FA Cup final, with a 1-0 win over Fox on Saturday, victories over Burnley and Crystal Palace will put Liverpool in the top four.
Alisson’s father drowned in a Brazilian-born accident in February.

And when injuries defended the Premier League title, Klopp could feel lucky that it was an exciting final for The Hawthorns.
West Brom believed they were up 2-1 with 20 minutes left when Kyle Bartley took the corner.
The Baggies captain was on the sidelines, but Matt Philipps was believed to have hampered Alisson’s view from offside.
“Everything is like our season,” Klopp said.
“We do a lot of good things, they punish us for the first mistake and then we have to work like crazy. I liked it because no one prevailed, we kept playing football and we had the best chances in the last five minutes.”
Klopp has had to deal without his central midfielder for several months after some injuries and inexperienced Nat Phillips and Rhys Williams were easily disturbed at first.

Luckily for Liverpool, Mohamed Salah remained dead in front of goal and threw 31 home runs this season to equalize 33 minutes from the edge of the box.

West Brom had more reason to complain when Bartley’s goal was controversially dismissed.
Chances were he was constantly looking for visitors when Alexander-Arnold exploded before Sam Johnstone denied Thiago and Gini Wijnaldum walked away.
But it was the most difficult source with the winner, as West Brom caught up with Alisson in the box from the last run to find the corner of Alexander-Arnold.
“In the end, we needed Ali to sort it out,” Klopp added.
