MSF attack attacks Central African Republic, woman dies News of Central African Republic

According to medical charity, the female guards killed and wounded three others in an ambush by armed men.

The International Medical Assistance Group Without Borders (Medecins Sans Frontieres or MSF) said the armed men in his group in the Central African Republic (AR) killed a woman in an ambush.

The West African and Central African charities said in a statement on Saturday that the victim was traveling with a patient who was being transported by MSF staff to the north of Batangafo (CAR in northern CAR).

“Two motorists hired by MSF in the Central African Republic were captured by an armed man in an ambush while the patients were being directed to the town of Batangafo,” he said on Twitter.

“The female goalkeeper was killed after the attack caused the bullet to hit the hospital.”

MSF said three other people – a motorcyclist and two patients (the woman and her baby) were injured in the attack and taken to Batangafo Hospital in a stable condition.

The support team said its two motorcyclists had clearly identified MSF staff.

MSF added, “We condemn the ongoing incidents affecting CAR’s medical mission and have had a serious impact on access to health care.”

“This is the third attack in June on MSF and our surrounding patients.”

CAR has seen repeated violence by armed groups since 2013, including the civil war that ended in 2016, as well as this year’s election-related fighting.

Years of violence have killed thousands of people and forced more than a quarter of CAR’s nearly five million residents out of their homes. Of these, 675,000 are refugees from countries around the world.

The MSF announcement announced that a Spanish aid coordinator and two Ethiopian workers were present and arrived one day later “Violently murdered” Ethiopia at war in the northern Tigray region.

A document released by the group says the three workers were found dead a few meters from their vehicle on Friday, while colleagues were making the trip one day after losing contact with them.

“We condemn this attack on our colleagues in the strongest possible way and it will be constant to understand what happened,” MSF said.

The United Nations called the attack “horrific and sad,” and called on Ethiopia to launch a swift investigation into the killings.
