In a statement, Omar said he hoped to apologize.
“Instead of apologizing for his Islamophobic comments and fabricated lies, Deputy Boebert publicly refused to acknowledge his painful and dangerous comments. Instead, he duplicated his rhetoric and decided to end the unproductive call,” Omar said.
