As you’ve probably seen, pure beauty the arena is wide – and navigation can be overwhelming. Like many of us, I’ve been simplifying my beauty routine by relying on these safe and effective employee products. During the pandemic, I was trained to paint my nails and did a search to find the best non-toxic nail. I tried a lot of different brands and as a two year old mom, while I was washing, washing and writing the bottle, the nail polishes I try are put to the test.
In an effort to find the best one, I touched on a friend and an extraordinary nail artist, Smith & Cult brand ambassador, and two mothers, Jessica Tong. In addition to giving me some tips and tricks for applying nail polish at home, it also filled me with the importance of using non-toxic nail polishes. “I have a two-year-old daughter and I like to paint my fingers, so the brands I use need to be good enough for children’s fingers to be good enough for my clients,” says Tong.

Tips for manicure at home
When I make my nails at home, before I paint them, I like to file, clean and smooth the cuticles. Then I wiped the nail with a drop of alcohol to remove the oil in a small 1 ”x1” paper towel. Advantages and disadvantages: Zoya had my favorite basic coat. The consistency was perfect, not too thick or thin. The handle was easy to apply because it was beautifully in your hand. They have a range of bold colors to choose from. Zoya put it on my middle finger and finger. As I said before, the middle finger has a lot of contact, so he was the first to chip both hands. My thumb is still in good condition five days later without a chip. The color went a little thick in my opinion with great coverage but maybe too thick when I added the second coat. It seems that when polishing is too thick it dries out forever.
Why I love: Zoya was the first to remove toxic ingredients from its formulations such as toluene, camphor, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin and DBP (dibutyl phthalate). Zoya focuses on the health and well-being of salons, spas and consumers.
Rating: This is nice when you want a bold color to throw away quickly and when you need your nails to last through the night with two or two applications.

Profits and disadvantages: I have been using this brand for some time. When I was a stylist, it was a brand that was often used by many professionals. Personally, I love tones and they offer neutral tones and a different tone. I used this mark on my pink and ring finger. It seemed to me that the color was a bit thinner, but that had something to do with what color I might choose. It was the lightest in the world. My only complaint with this brand was the brush. It had a thin brush and a clumsy handle. If you’re a professional, you may not encounter much of a problem, but trying to paint your nails may be difficult to apply.
Why I love: Smith + Cult Vegan + has 8 gluten-free formulas: Dibutyl Phthalate, Toluene, Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, Alforka, Xylene, Ethyl Tosylamide and Triphenyl Phosphate.
Rating: Smith & Cult is the one I would choose for the salon for sure, but at home I think you will have trouble applying it properly.

Advantages and disadvantages: I used this polish on the puller and middle finger. Unfortunately, my half fingers and forefinger were chopped. It’s hard to put it on the middle finger again. Overall this was the smoothest I liked the least. They have a very limited range of colors and I found the base, color and top cover to be very thin. Although I found the brush easy to use and apply, the polishing was very thin.
Why I love: Luckily, as with all brands, Butter’s lakes don’t have eight bad ingredients. They do not add Formaldehyde, Formaldehyde Resin, DBP, Toluene, Alforka, Ethyl Tosilamide, Xylene or TPHP to our nail product formulas.
Rating: You don’t deserve to spend Smith & Cult TBH for the same price!

Advantages and disadvantages: This was when I was pregnant. Of all the polishes this is the cleanest. I would give second place to pregnant mothers or babies. The top is small which made it harder for me to apply, but overall the stay worked well. I used this brand on my pink forefinger and fingers. My rating: 5/5
Advantages and disadvantages: This was my overall winner. The brush is probably the largest of the five and the handle size is perfect for hand. They also offer a poppy (it is the handle). However, I found the top as simple as normal. The smoothing went very smooth and the color was maintained and it still looks great. I will say that the basic coat is very different from your usual coat; I would call it one more primer and maybe that’s why it stopped very well. They also come in a variety of bright, muted and classic shades, and it’s cheap.
Why I love: Their formula is vegan, cruelty-free and 7-fold (7 harmful ingredients commonly found in nail polishes can be: dibutyl phthalate (DBP), toluene, formaldehyde, formaldehyde resin, camphor, TPHP or xylene).
Rating: This is the mark of the people in charge of manicure. The Poles are still turned on and haven’t left a chip, and let me tell you, as a mother under two, she’s saying something!
