Downing Street on Sunday refused to answer specific questions from Boris Johnson about claims that Tory donors were trying to secretly pay for home improvements, the latest in a series of allegations that shook the British government.
The opposition Labor Party on Monday will try to force a minister to explain the allegations in the House of Commons through an urgent question. On the same day, Cabinet Secretary Simon Case will be elected by a select committee about the results of a “rat chat” poll that leaked government blockade plans last November.

Rachel Reeves, the shadow office cabinet minister, has been asked to release all correspondence from ministers. In a series of 14 questions, Johnson was also asked to explain whether he had declared the loans “properly” at the appropriate time, along with the necessary changes in his tax situation.
